Founder/Financial Accountant

With over 10 years of accounting experience, Emilee has helped businesses across a wide range of industries—from e-commerce and healthcare to professional and service-based businesses—build stronger financial foundations. She earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Accounting from the University of Utah and has experience serving as an outsourced CFO while providing bookkeeping, payroll, financial statement preparation, quarterly payroll tax filings, estimated tax payments, audit assurance, and year-end tax coordination. Throughout her career, Emilee has helped businesses streamline billing systems, improve financial operations, develop commission structures for companies with more than 50 contractors, and support organizations as they grow from small family-owned businesses to companies managing multi-million-dollar operations and commercial real estate portfolios. She is known for being dependable, responsive, and trustworthy, and takes pride in becoming an extension of her clients' teams rather than simply providing accounting services. Her goal is simple: to give business owners the peace of mind that comes from having a dependable accounting department they can truly rely on.

Outside of work, Emilee enjoys spending time with her family, being a mom, and finding creative outlets through DIY projects, home design, and other creative pursuits.

Jaxon

Tax Accountant

With many years of accounting and tax experience, Jaxon has helped businesses and individuals navigate a wide range of accounting and tax needs. He earned his Master of Taxation from Weber State University and is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing him to serve a diverse range of clients with confidence and clarity.

Jaxon's experience includes bookkeeping, payroll, quarterly payroll tax filings, estimated tax payments, complex commission calculations, individual and business tax preparation—including Form 1040, Form 1120-S, and Form 1065 partnership returns—as well as tax planning and advisory services. Known for being detail-oriented, approachable, and dependable, Jaxon is committed to providing accurate financial guidance while building lasting relationships with his clients. Outside of work, Jaxon enjoys spending time with his family and catching a baseball game whenever he can.

kirk

Senior Bookkeeper

With over 37 years of bookkeeping experience, Kirk brings a wealth of knowledge and real-world business insight to the Stay Balanced Accounting team. As a former business owner himself, he understands the day-to-day challenges business owners face and knows how to accurately record financial transactions while providing meaningful financial information that supports better business decisions. He has been a valued member of Stay Balanced Accounting for the past five years.

Kirk holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Utah and is QuickBooks Certified, combining decades of hands-on bookkeeping experience with a strong educational foundation. He is especially skilled in account reconciliations and takes pride in maintaining accurate, organized financial records. Known for being personable, dependable, and detail-oriented, Kirk enjoys building lasting relationships with clients and helping them keep their finances on track.

Outside of work, Kirk enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on his favorite football teams.

Katie

Payroll Specialist/Office Manager

As Stay Balanced Accounting's Payroll Specialist, Katie is dedicated to ensuring every client's payroll is processed accurately, on time, and with exceptional attention to detail. With many years of experience in payroll and office management, she understands the importance of precision, organization, and providing outstanding service to every client she works with. Katie manages every aspect of the payroll process, from processing payroll and maintaining employee paystubs to onboarding new employees into our payroll system. She works closely with clients to collect and organize new hire documentation, including Form I-9s, Form W-4s, and direct deposit (ACH) information, ensuring employees are properly onboarded into our payroll portal. In addition to payroll, Katie prepares monthly client deliverables and serves as one of the friendly voices behind Stay Balanced Accounting, answering client calls and assisting business owners with payroll questions and other accounting needs. She is known for her warm personality, strong work ethic, and the genuine relationships she has built with our clients over the years. Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her family and is excited to welcome her first grandchild in the near future.

Bookkeeper

As one of Stay Balanced Accounting's Bookkeepers, Carson has been helping clients maintain accurate and organized financial records for over 6 years. As a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor, he is known for his efficiency, proactive communication, and meticulous attention to detail. Carson takes pride in ensuring every transaction is properly categorized, every account is accurately reconciled, and every financial record is maintained with precision. Carson is highly skilled in account reconciliations, transaction categorization, tracking assets and liabilities, and ensuring expenses are properly classified for tax purposes. His ability to efficiently manage large volumes of financial data helps clients keep their books organized, up to date, and ready for informed business decisions. Committed to accuracy, integrity, and exceptional client service, Carson works diligently to provide dependable bookkeeping support that business owners can trust.Outside of work, Carson enjoys spending time with his family and expressing his artistic talents through drawing.

Brooklyn

AR & AP SPECIALIST/BOOKKEEPER

As Stay Balanced Accounting's Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Bookkeeping Specialist, Brooklyn plays an essential role in helping clients keep their financial operations running smoothly. Brooklyn specializes in managing clients' billing and invoicing processes, overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable, and ensuring financial transactions are accurately categorized and reconciled. She is our go-to team member for all things payables and receivables, helping businesses manage their billing departments, process vendor payments, collect customer payments, and ensure invoices and bills are handled accurately and on time. Her commitment to keeping receivables collected and payables paid on schedule helps clients maintain healthy cash flow while keeping their day-to-day accounting operations organized and efficient. In addition to managing AP and AR, Brooklyn provides bookkeeping support and works diligently to ensure every client's books remain accurate, organized, and up to date.Known for her strong work ethic, organization, and client-first approach, Brooklyn takes pride in helping business owners spend less time managing their accounting and more time growing their businesses.Outside of work, Brooklyn enjoys spending time with her family and being a mom.
